The first time that I ever saw Franzen Brothers Circus, one of the acts Wayne presented was a liberty goat act which took him back to his days growing up on the farm and what he might have started training in the years before starting a circus. I had never seen such a thing before and was impressed with the act. Having the variety of animals in the act like Jergen Christiansen had in the picture is really unique and not something you might see now.
We made some fair dates with Mr. Christiansen when he had this act.
We kept the animals in the grandstand infield and my dad and he used to sit under his awning and cut up jackpots.
I wish I had paid a little more attention.
