Buckles, Here are some pictures of the Dailey Bros Circus train from 1947 in Indiana taken at either Logansport, Marion, or Frankfort Indiana. I hope that you can use the format I am sending them in.

Where did all the train cars and wagons come from to start up the Dailey Show? Was the train all junked for scrap afterwards or sold?
Thanks,
Bob

The Frank West railroad carnival served as the basis of the Dailey railroad equipment. Some of the wagons may have come from that source as well as from the Dailey motorized outfit. There are articles in Bandwagon covering the show history.

Ward Hall once told me that the Cole show staff was all veterans and therefore the opportunities for advancing one's position and future were very limited. RBBB had other issues. As a result, Hall and others desiring to advance in the circus world went to the Dailey Bros. outfit, where opportunity abounded. A review of the people who were with it is pretty enlightening.

The stories that have been passed along through the ages about Ben Davenport and his circus may or may not be all true, but they surely provide some entertaining jackpots.

Buckles,
Our fathers would have been thrilled to have these pictures. And so would I. mWhat a great set. Thanks to Mr. Keebler for taking time out from making cookies to share them with us.
