At the risk of sounding sardonic, I ask the question: Why do I get the feeling this "barnyard" act was framed as a means to get an Emprassario's daughter into the show.
If so, I must admit, it was worth the trouble.
BOUGHIONE Family: Didn't one of Galla Shawn (Tiny Gallagher) daughters marry into the Boughione Family? Need some help on this one..
dpowhitetiger: Yes Vicky married Joseph Bouglione, who does a very good wire act,(taught by Vicky's father Manuel Dos Santos), and since Tiny's oldest daughter Della married Flavio, is this possibly Tiny's granddaughter?
Galla's daugher married into the Togni family.
Does she like "Giant Snakes"??....If so......I can use the Lass on the Bally..........Jim Zajicek
There are a number of books about the Bouglione family
Some say that Josef's grandfather financed the French military at the end of WW 2
And that his grandmother is the real Queen of the Gypsies
At the least the Bouglione family is looked at as circus royalty in most traditional european circuses
I worked with Josef and Vicky on Roncalli. probably one of the handsomest couples I have ever seen,he so very handsome and she so beautifull. Like a real life Ken & Barbie.

Buckles, she's not the impresario's daughter.
She's someway the impresario.
And she is a great performer. She's "into the show" because she used to do it all his life, as they used to do for five generations. Traditionally, the audience in Paris knows that every year Regina introduces a different act: last year was exotics, two years ago high schoool, etc. They also need at every season one of two act of this kind to appeal the youngster children.
The Bouglione circus is actually in the complete hands of the new generation: they reopened the building at regular season in 1999.
Regina is the sister of Joseph and Sampion jr. They actually manage the circus with their cousins Francesco.
Yes, Joseph married Vicky dos Santos, that is the sister of Della Dos Santos, both being the daughters of Manolos dos Santos and Galla Shawn.
And yes, the Bouglione are one of the most handsome circus families in the planet.
That's what I get for not reading things more thoroughly, I assumed this was Flavio's daughter.
The last time we saw Della was the day she was released from the hospital in Salina, Kansas. She & Vicky were riding in the trailer, and for some reason she opened the door, the wind caught the door pulling her out, fortunately with enough force to throw her into the grass. She was a very lucky girl suffering only the loss of a small toe.
