How many elephants were at Hall's at any given time?
The numbers would vary but when the Depression hit and elephant sales dropped the Hall Family found themselve saddled with thirty.
Lucky to have something to feed them. Some parts of the country just blew away in these years. From the upper midwest to Texas any type of feed was hard to come by for livestock during these years.
