The Outdoor Amusement Business Association (OABA) will host its Second Annual Animals in Entertainment Seminar on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary in Sarasota, Florida. OABA circus owners, performing exotic animal owners, staff members and other members are urged to attend this important seminar. Presentations by OABA consultants and circus members will address the "state of animals in entertainment in 2008," followed by a general Q & A session.
"Last year's seminar addressed many issues facing circus owners, performers and staff concerning animals in entertainment," said Bob Johnson, President of OABA. "OABA is the only trade group representing the circus industry when it comes to regulatory matters, and we want to provide this forum for both members and general circus supporters to discuss the issues that threaten today's circus."
A meeting for OABA members only will be held from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm; a complimentary lunch for all attendees will be hosted by OABA from 12:30 pm until 1:00 pm; and a general public session will be presented by OABA panelists from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm, followed by a Q & A session.
Other interested parties who would like to attend the 11:00 am OABA members-only session may join on site at the meeting. Visit www.oaba.org for fee structure and to download an application or complete the attached membership form.
