The Circus Producers Association had their annual meeting today at the Sarasota Hyatt.
Next year the meeting will be in a different hotel because our ponderous pot-bellied producers can't fit into the conference room anymore.
If their budgets are so small for paying acts how come they have all this money for food.
The first topic on the agenda was entitled The Producers Guide to being Cagey and Crafty; several of the attendees earned gold stars for outstanding skill in the Cagey category.
During lunch, one our jelly-bellied producers had a fainting spell while reaching for a packet of Splenda. Medical assistance was called and in the ambulance the attendant said to driver, "Hurry, I can't find a heart beat in this guy." The producer said, "I don't have heart beat because I'm a producer and I've never had a heart."
Upon arrival at the emergency room the producer refused to give up the little packet of Splenda, he said, "Splenda is like the Shrine Clowns of the Buffet; if you get for free why give it up."
