I am told this was David Blaskos elephant, that went across the river some years back.I have also heard, he learned this since his arrival in MX.

casey: that has to be the most amazing elephant trick I've seen. Has this ever been done before? I'm not sure I've ever seen such a perfect one-foot by an adult elephant, never mind on a rotating spindle. Wow

I have never seen it before. However I have found a few more videos of other Fuentes elephants doing same trick. My favorite being an African female, that doesn't push of like the big male, so the trainer has to push and pull her to get her going around.I have heard that Yenda, trained the Blasko elephant to do this trick, upon it's arrival at the Fuentes Zoo in Mx. Someone there has the gaff on it now, cause they have a few more doing the trick now. It is Great!!!

casey, post the link to the video (if you have it) of the African doing it - I didn't even know that Africans COULD do one-foot stands

I believe however Mac McDonald had trained a few Africans to do one foot stands right here in the USA.
