A great spread of photos, Mr. Hall, if "Fingers" was still around, I'm sure he would say, "four thumbs up"!
Bill;
Thank you very much how ever I had to invest in three dozen twinkies each day for the elephant dept so I could get to follow the last bull and holler tale up.Thats why I must say {Tepa} was the shutterbug.
Honesty is the best policy, especially under the circumstances.
It looks like those overhead lights are the only ring lights - they must put out quite a bit of light - the rings are certainly well lit
I'll tell you what, those pan lights are sort of a pain for riggers, but they put light where it belongs, in the ring.
As I remember they are four 2000 watt bulbs, they are a Paul Kaye innovation, & date from the Dobritch days, I built two additional ones when we did Circus America, which was 5 rings.
I don't imply that Paul invented pan lights, they've been around a long time, in one form or other, he did design these.
Thirty odd years ago Derrick Rosaire, Sr. told me that on his family's circus in England they would take a galvanized wash tub, paint the interior white, affix the light bulbs and hang it where ever. I thought this was very inventive.
