Doug Holwadel (From Hal Guyon)

Buckles,
Found this while looking at the circus model photos. Taken in Augusta Ga. in April of 87, left to right My Dad, Harold (Pop) Guyon Sr; 84 years old at that time, Russ Snider, CFA South Carolina Chairman, Doug Holwadel, and myself, and yeah I still got the gut, but not as much hair. Hard to beleive it`s been over 20 years.

Hal,
Thanks for the great photos of Doug's circus room.
Models in the middle of the room and posterson the walls what more could a fan ask for.
Since his death I wonder where all of his models went???

Harry,
I assume maybe one of his kids got them,he had I think 4 children they were all grown when I knew him. One of his daughters Blair, I think worked with the show for a while. I don`t know where they are now, I do know that his 1st wifes name is still in the Columbia phone book.

Yes, Blair worked for the show for a while as a marketing director. My date in Burke, VA, in 1986 was one of her first. We made it work. She married trumpet player Mark [Ellis I believe his last name was?]. He was the Band Leader for a couple of seasons and then went over on Ringling. When the third show folded he came band and played in the band for a while. I believe he is teaching school now. They live in centra Florida. As for who got Doug's models I do not know. But he was a salesman! He talked people into things with ease!
