Buckles, I alway's thought the 101 Wild West Show was a "cowboy and Indian format". Was it a combination of circus and wild west show? Did they have other animal act's? Thanks Wade Burck
Those shows were pretty open-ended.
They had Cossack riders, Zuaves doing military drills, Arabic riders, etc.
The elephants were the most unlikely but even Buffalo Bill had a few, possibly because they added a lot to the daily street parade.
Its interesting that long time animal trainer, Art Eldridge, was part of the shows executive management and would train elephants on shows including ringling. buckles would know more about his carerr. how about it.
I've really enjoyed the blog everyday since being introduced to it a few weeks ago. This is the first I knew the old Wild West Shows had elephants.
