Who was Blankets? Was he a well known bull hand?
I never met him, I think he was mostly around the Ringling Show.
That's Nine Blankets.
In Connie Clausen's book "I Love You Honey But The Season's Over", she talks at length about Nine Blankets and several other of the elephant men on the RBBB show in 1941. If you haven't read it in a while, it's definitely worth a reread any time. It's my all time favorite circus book and I reread it at least once a year!
