By looking at the wagons in the photos I am assuming this was not a "2 car" show that the Jones Brothers were famous for?

To John Goodal; My father told me that as a youth he was a groom or maybe "dog boy" on Jones Bros. and Wilson Circus and that Peter Taylor was there with a fighting lion act. What years would that have been? According to Buckles the show folded in 17. But, would they have gone out again and how long did Wilson be part of their operations? It seems he was a side show guy or concessionaire and his girlfriend was listed as a leopard act. Please help me on this as I am trying to trace my Dad's career in tregard to years. Best wishes and hope to hear back. Thanks, Johnny
Buckles,
Your dad was a circus fan who happened to work for them also. What a great set of pictures. When I get a chance, I will send you some of the pics that are in the collection.
Johnny:
Pete Taylor had the lion act on Jones Bros & Wilson in 1914 and possibly other years.
Johnny, the only year the Jones & Wilson Circus was out was 1914 and as Bob Kitto said, Pete Taylor was on the show that year. We have to assume that your dad was there in 1914. Regards to the family. J G
