From Eric:
This is type of organized activity that will be needed next year during the elections to (a)identify those political candidates who receive PETA money and/or support anti-circus legislation, (b)inform the fans so that they don't unwittingly send these candidates or their political party campaign contributions, and (c) get out the vote to defeat these anti-circus political candidates in the election itself. Allowing them to get into office and/or remain there will only result in having an endless number of bills like this one being introduced.
what is there idea for those few that are grandfathered out of this silly law? like the big E.
WE could close our eyes and use the force to move elephants around.
everyone with elephants should bring there elephants to the big E if this passes..
Better yet go to circusfans.org and click on NEWS...Then you can either telephone or e-mail direct to the 6 Senators or 11 Representatives..You can do that between loading out your elephant rides...The main thing is just do it...Do it now it might be to late next season...We need help...In other words "Water for the Elephants."
I had e-mails yesterday on SB 2002 and why I didn't post the BILL?
All you have to do is click on circusfans.org Click on NEWS Section: then CLICK ON VIEW BILL 2002...You can then read the entire BILL 2002.
Anymore questions just e-mail dpowhitetiger. We WILL WIN...But, we need help...
Randy: Wayne McCrary told a group of circus fans (at the Wayne McCrary tent meeting at the Big E recently) that the state rep introducing the Mass bill was obviously trying to play politics by exempting the Big E. McCrary said he's not falling for this tactic. And what about the Shrine circus that uses elephants at the Big E fairgrounds in late April? Would this circus also be exempt? And why is it that Bob Commeford can offer elephant rides at the fair but be banned by the proposed bill from using the same bulls at other lots in Massachusetts? Obviously, this is an ill-conceived bill all the way around. It deserves to be soundly defeated in committee. Lane
