This is my dad with "Mabel" whom D.R. Miller decided to send out with Jack Moore's "Tex Carson Circus" in 1954. This would be the show's first elephant.

"Jack Moore will commence at Rockston, Texas the 14th. The Reuben Ray family is here to go with Tex Carson and they are good people too. Rex Williams and Barbara, a Ray daughter, will handle concessions and am glad to hear that, as Rex can keep an eye on the big bull "Mabel"."

Tex Carson's Circus was on the road 1951-56.
