Rochester, NY #1- 1892 (From Henry Penndorf)

Continuing with your "Assorted Elephant Pictures" theme, here are some pictures of elephants that I came across on the Internet that you might find interesting. Six of these pictures come from the Rochester, New York Public Library's collection and their web page.

The four black and white pictures are all "vintage" and were taken between 1892 and 1911 in Rochester. They show both the unloading of the elephants in Rochester, which attracted quite a crowd, and the circus parade. The two pictures of the parade are not the same good quality as the others, but I thought you might enjoy them.

Actually aren't these hats called "Bowlers?"
