A large portion of this spec float was located in Michigan, remounted on a mobile home type underframe. An air calliope had been mounted on it for parade. It is likely one of the few remaining floats from that era.
The use of jeeps for motive power disquised as spec vehicles with themes and the spec floats themselves were very well done. Too bad the current regime hasn't a clue as to how to use this tyoe of vehicle.
To Dom Yodice....my guess is this float is from the 1953 "Candy Land" spec which featured the song "Gone Are The Days" with music by John Ringling North.
