I'm sure many of us can tell the same story about the hipp wagon on shows. On the '64 Beatty show, it was our Captian George who got pulled over almost nightly for the wild swaying of the truck going down the road, and upon explanation and opening the doors, the cop exclaimed the customary, "GET THAT DAMN THING OUTTA MY TERRITORY!" Captain George, without enough to do, also was given to lecture innocent townies in the blow-off crowds about how he ran the circus.
i haven't seen george in years, but when he finally retired from the road, he had a very successful career as a very respected manager of the trailways bus station in hampton, virginia.

does anyone know how deep the tanks were in the old hippo cages?
The ones I have seen were from 20 up to 32 in. I just happen to have one in my backyard.
