From Dave Price

Here's a shot of Josky's banner I took the fall of 1959 in Timpson, Texas.

If you've ever shot craps in East Texas, you've heard of "Timpson, Tenaha, Bobo and Blair," which is supposed to bring up a "ten" on the dice, just as "Ada from Decatur, County Seat of Wise" should result in an "eight" coming up.

Free education here.

Hi Dave, I believe that should be, "Eighter from Decatur, County Seat of Wise," which I am, from Wise County that is. =)

Being an Okie, I always thought it sounded like "Ader (Ada) from Decatur." But I bow to a native Wise Countian. Golly darned, the thing one learns on "Blogging with Buckles." Won't wonders ever cease? Lane

I confess I never saw it written out before, just heard it spoken. You must be right.
