Wallace Bros. Circus 1940 #1

Scan10160, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. My first recollections of life began with this show, especially this year when half way thru the season, a new title was painted on all the trucks. A very big deal for a five year old. Bob Morton hired the Wallace Show to appear on a twelve week tour of Hamid-Morton Shrine dates featuring Clyde Beatty who was under exclusive contract to H-M at the time. Why it was necessary to re-letter all the Wallace Show trucks I couldn't say. On the trailer above, they missed the "WB". I remember the man in this picture, elephant hand ,Mickey Kelly (Little Irish).
