Askold & Edgar Zapashny.22, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

There was a feature on the msn.com web page yesterday about some new records that are being recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records in their latest edition. One of the new records is circus related. The people at the Guinness Book of World Records have given the record "for longest jump riding a lion" to Russian animal trainers, Askold and Edgard Zapashny. The new world record is 2.30 meters or approximately seven feet six inches. The Zapashny's accomplished this feet on July 28, 2006 at the! Arena Perms Circus in Russia.

Congratulations to the Zapashnys. I don't suppose there was much competition in this category...! This photo is definately worth a second look. Just terrific. Oh to be twenty years younger and find the right lion!

My family came running into our computer room when they heard a loud thud. It was my jaw hitting the hardwood floor, when I saw the lady jumping with a lion. Now, I can say I've seen it all.
