Sparks Elephants on the move 1920's #3

The first team is pulling two cages, notice the brakeman on each. They appear to be waiting to be called on the lot.

Again hooked directly to the wagon because thet were on the road, The goose neck hook up would only be done on the lot both with horses and elephants as it was much quicker and the wagon pole did not have to be sterred.

There are two trucks,which appear to be Mack,in the background. Were these show trucks? If so, what were they used for? Bill Galloway

Those chain driven Mack Trucks were quite common around circuses in those days. The one in the background appears to be hauling a load from the train. The one at right might be a water wagon on it's way to fill up.
Someone with a Sparks inventory could tell you exactly how many the show used and the function of each.
