Joe B. Webb Circus 1936 #5

Scan10118, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. The show's only elephant "Vera" was owned by my dad's good friend Jimmy Hamiter who's unit also included a liberty horse and dog act. Why my father would be unloading her is unknown, maybe he needed her to set up the big top but more likely he just wanted her out of that truck. I think the gentleman at left is the father of Circus Historian Joe Fleming, the man at right is unidentified.
