To me this is sort of a forlorn picture. Taken in Peru following the 1935 season about the time it was announced that the Hagenbeck-Wallace Show would be left in the barn in 1936. |

Tinkham was the long time Wallace and later ACC farm manager.
Peru's number of years as a center of circus activity spanned longer than Baraboo, Bridgeport, Sarasota and other storied sites. 1936 was the fly in the ointment, with other gaps between Wallace and the ACC, and the RBBB org and Terrell Jacobs, but the number of years is still tops. Next month, besides the three museum exhibitions, there's a circus festival and parade there.
anonymous, you talk about Terell Jacobs. It's sad we can do something to save the Kelly farm. It still has alot of history in it. It part of peru just like circus museum is.

It takes more than barns and real estate to attract an audience and donors. Like Clara said, "Where's the leadership?"
Give the Hall of Fame a call.
