Polack elephants 1973 #2

Polack4, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

In my files I have four elephants listed with Polack in 1973 "Opal", "Kae", "Louie" and "Mike" but this doesn't look quite right to me.
After being sold to Bill Stebbing in 1978 these three went with the Stebbing family to South America in 1980 and "Louie" still appears with a circus down there.

Wouldn't that be Stella and not Kae? Jean, Millie, and Kae were sold at the end of the 1967 season. Somewhere I have some slides taken in Ruskin practicing the new act. It had Anna Mae, Opal, Stella, Kenya, and Louie. When Murray Hill took over Kenya was sent to the Louisville, KY Zoo. I think Mac McDonald delivered her to the Zoo (per conversation with Buddy Watkins).

I'm just pulling stuff out of the back of my head. I'll certainly defer to Buckles and those who actually write things down.

I'm sure you are right. "Kae" would have been almost as big as "Opal" by this time.
I write things down but still make mistakes.

Speaking of South America: I'm looking for history on Senor Velasquez Nudrinal and the 6-month circus tour he produced, beginning in October 1950. The tour was routed through Colombia, Argentina, Brazil and Peru, and included Mabel Stark and 7 World Jungle Compound tigers, plus perhaps the Cristianis, and other stateside acts. Can anyone provide further information?
