Buckles: This is somewhat off the subject, but since today is Father's Day, I'll bet you grew up thinking every day was Father's Day since your dad took you to the circus each and every day. Thanks again for keeping the memories flowing.
Buckle's: Have been out for a couple of days and sure enjoyed catching up on the old Carson & Barenes stuff. Have a photo of Pat in that spec outfit, and an autographed picture I just found recently from her with her head in a lions mouth [no hands]!
How about keeping us posted on the Colonel!
I saw Laura and his granddaughter Thursday on Kelly-Miller show. Laura has that great energy and poise when she enters the ring, animals know what to do and respond. Granddaughter has been trained well also about poise and style. Granddad would be proud!

I have just finished reading "The Cowboy And His Elephant" by Malcolm MacPherson.
It's a great story, but I can't resolve the facts at the end. MacPherson leaves Amy at Camp Abu in Africa, preparing to return to the wild.
But Riddle's Elephant Sanctuary in Arkansas, USA, reports this same Amy pregnant and expected to deliver a baby this year at their facility.
Can some one clear this up for me?
What exactly has happened to Amy since she left Buckles' care?
Thanks,
Larry
I'm not at all familiar with the Camp Abu business but we purchased "Amy" from Bob Norris in 1992 and retired her to the sanctuary in 2003.
