Sid Kellner Elephants #1

Barbara with the James Bros. Circus elephants in 1969. This publicity picture taken in Sid's driveway at his Estate in Martinez, CA.
They already had names, which I didn't care for, but I thought this would just be a tempoary job but as it turned out I would be around these elephants off and on for the next 12 years.

Outstanding set of photos. Buckles, I like the new masthead format with rotating pictures. Shannon is a genius.

Buckles,
Great memories from Uncle Sid's operation. I remember in Bowling Green, KY when Sid let the band leader go (who was an okay guy), he screamed at the top of his lungs--"and take that blankety-blank of a wife with you", (she was a real heat merchant). The tent crew let out a cheer with this news, as everyone on the lot heard Sid's proclamation. Arranged tickets for Sid, during Kaleidosapes visit to the Bay Area, he had not changed a bit, "Hey Pal!", was how he greeted me.
All the best to you and Babs, keep up the good work. Erik Jaeger

Did Sid keep monkeys at his martinez home?

I was a big top man in 1968, great memories. 5 dollars a day and room and board.
