I met Bobby Gibbs when he was working for Walt King's father in the spring of 1965 in Columbia, SC. Bobby was working Wanda (a former Will Hill elephant?)and other animals in a small shopping center circus and ride operation. I recall asking about King's ad in AB for the three elephant act in 1965. Would that have been Tulsa, Wanda, and (who)? Buckles and Bob, who's in the cards?
Jim,
I'm sorry, I'm not much help here. The Walt King elephant had a three act with Rajee until she died in Benton Harbor, Michigan in Sept. of 1963. They didn't get Queenie until 1967, and they only had Nellie for a short time in the early 1970's before selling here to the Commerford Petting Zoo. So other than Tulsa and Wanda, I don't have a third elephant listed in 1965.
Bob
