I think you are right. Roy and his wife Juanita "Neets" had been on the Ringling Show in the 1940's and in fact were there the year of the Hartford fire.

You are right Robert, Roy, Neets, & Ray came back here & I think worked briefly for Ringling, & then joined the Orrin Davenport Circus, Ray was quite a character,he wasn't on the show a week before he had everyone talking about their "north & south", "ones & twos", "cheese & kisses", "cheese & kisses", and a "lady from Bristol". Ray eventully married Dorita Konyot.

Need help with my sagging memory! Eileen Voise was a Sullivan and her father (?) was a flyer named "Soda" Sullivan. She had a sister, I believe, who later worked in costumes for the Met Opera in NYC. Who can tell me about "Soda" Sullivan and family from Holyoke, Mass.? Heard about them when I was first interested in circus as a kid in Springfield, Mass., almost 50 years ago.

They were the Sullivan sisters. Eileen and sister Rose. Eileen was married Wayne Larey before Voise and Rose was married to famous flyer Clayton Behee and catcher Bob Porter. Yes their family home was in Holyoke, Mass. and remained for many years.

Many thanks! Do you know anything of "Soda" Sullivan and what he did in the business?

the name was spelled VOISE. The name was changed to VOYCE by a lineage of ancestors due to family problems. Voise remains...Harold was uncle to Craig, Roger, Linda, Mike John and Mary Ann Voise who all live currently in Michigan.
