Check out the excitement and drama in this presentation, and we wonder why the circus seems bland and repetative, and why 20,000 people will happily pay top prices of 350.00. Picture this with camels, elephants and horses. You have to watch it full screen to get the full impact.
Ringling used to give me the same goosebumps - but not any more.

Help us with names. Anna is the 4th from the left. Is the other lady her sister-in-law? Can anyone identify the men.

Two of the men are Anna's sons, Tato second from the left and Gino next to his mother, Alicia Farfan is Anna's sister-in-law.

Sorry, I don't know the names of the other two guys.

When was this group performing with the six of them? I only remember when Don Martinez and his wife were with Armondo and Anna.

Everybody has their "Golden years" of something, and while I can't speak for the real old day's, the 70's and early 80's were tops in my book. Wade Burck

Way kewl!

This was the mid 1980's at Circus Circus of course. At the time, I was working security for circus, and over time, Tato and I became close friends. I no longer live in Vegas, but I still speak with Tato often. So, here goes...
From the left
Terry ( no relation, dated Jamie another flier for years), bottom catcher
Tato, age 16 ish
grrr, cannot think of her name. now works making costumes, etc. super lady.
Anna - Mom. Last I spoke with Tato, Anna was traveling with her trained peacocks.
Gino Farfan, age 24 ish
last, no clue. he had left the act before I was around.

On a sad note, Armondo Sr passed in the late 90's.

I see one post from Kathy. HEY!!! Tom C! Worked Circus, then MGM. With Dale, and everyone! House sat for Armondo when you all went to Japan in 89(?) Say hi to auntie Alicia! Where is victor and everyone? Man! We need a party at Tato's with the cast from Oba Oba!

I will email Tato the link to this, and see if he can jump in and say hi!

Wow, this is so crazy! Kathy i'm Molly Batchelor (now Britt), and my father, Bob Batchelor was the drummer for the red unit from 1975 or 1976 until the early 80's, and then was on the blue show for a while, and ultimately the gold unit in Japan for a year. I remember hanging around with you backstage and coming to the Farfan train car watching Anna making the costumes for the act etc. Amazing to see all those names again. I would love to be in touch-I'm on facebook. I hope all is well, would love to hear what you're up to : )
Best-
Molly

Dear Alicia Farfan,

I do not know if you remember me. We met in Richmond, Va. in 1978, I think. It was within a year of that date. You were performing in at Madison Square Garden in N.Y. We met through a mutual acquaintance. I would not put anything personal, no matter how inconsequential they may be. I was working at night as a waitress and going to VCU. We spoke later and you invited me to stay with you for the summer. I have always regretted turning you down. I thought work and school were the most important things. I was wrong. Your friends and people you love at the most important.

I would love to catch up with you if you would allow or would like to.

I hope you have had a beautiful life and will continue for decades enjoying the life you deserve.

I have never forgotten what a wonderful heart you had even though we did not spend very much time together, you have always lived in my heart.

Again, I would love to hear from you.

Sincerely,

Lynn Lamb

P.S. I do not know if it is smart to leave all this information, but I trust you and life is too short not to take changes. You know that more than most.
