The station wagon looks like the "gilly bus" described to me by Ward Hall when he was on the Dailey Bros. sideshow. It was used to ferry the "half-and-half" and cooch girls from each lot just after workmen had collapsed the rest of the sideshow canvas around the towners who had stayed for the final bally after the big show at night. According to Hall, those caught under the falling canvas in the last remaining portion of the sideshow tent were left to struggle out from under the covering on their own.
