Hi Buckles, I have hopefully attached three photos of the 1957 Ringling spec floats. I will send the other three in a separate email. Scan 17 is the Mother Goose float with Albert White as Mother Goose Scan 16 is the Pinnocchio float ( reconfiguration of the 1955 Birthdays float) Scan 15 is the Hansel & Gretel float (appears to be a reconfiguration of the 1953 School House float on a jeep)..notice the beautiful rising castle float in the center ring. Second email will have three other floats. Scan 14 is the Cinderella float ( used the base of the 1954 Scheherazade float) Scan 13 is the Old Woman in The Shoe float (used the base and shoe from the 1949 Woman in the Shoe float) Scan 11 is the Rocking Horse float with Anne Mace riding on top ( reconfigured the 1952 Trojan Horse float on a jeep) During the Boston Garden stand, several of the floats were rebuilt to fit on small wheeled bases so that they could fit in the two trailer trucks that carried the floats. The two jeep floats were dropped altogether. In addition to the 6 floats mentioned, they also had the Rising Castle float, a beautiful Alice in Wonderland float, a small cart pulled by 4 mules and a small Cinderella pumpkin float. This spec was Miles White all the way. By the way, the spec was called "The Coronation of Mother Goose" Dom |

Dominic or Buckles:
These photos from 1957 and 1958 of Ringling specs and the outdoor performance at the Hollywood Bowl are fascinating! I am conducting research for an exhibition of spec design during this period and would love more info as to the owner of these images. Would wither of you know?
