You notice the town on this daub is illegible; maybe it was just written in by hand. Sometimes these smaller shows didn't book far enough ahead to have their dates printed in full. They would leave the town part blank for the billposter to fill in as towns were booked, or else just print "Here" in that space.
In the 1930s, when Haag was down to just Tip and Alice, they had a Black elephant man called "Corene" (I never saw it written out so not sure of spelling) what do you know of this man? He called himself "The Ole Black Snake."
I remember Corene, he remained with the Haag family long after the show closed, taking care of "Alice" and "Judy" for Harry Haag.
Corrine ended up working for many years in the maintenace dept. at the Chicago Stadium and was an important employee. My Dad introduced me to him and the would cut up jackpots about the Mighty Haaq shows. A big black outgoing friendly guy.
Saw some Mollie Bailey paper years ago,and all it had on it was "HERE TODAY". Was thinking that they may have pulled it down at night, and reused it in another town. Joe McKennon told me that alot of the smaller shows did it all the time.
Would pay a couple of cents for each litho turned in after the evening show.

Utilizing a Perpetual Calender, Tuesday July 19th only occurred in 1921 or 1927. With the notation that Ms Drew was formerly on Hagenbeck Wallace in 1922, I am drawn to conclude this is 1927. This is very interesting to be as a avid elephant person in that I had no documentation on Babe after 1913.
