 Scott Blais is making a speech in Tenn to a group of people. This Scott was responsiable for the death of the young lady "Joanna Burke" at that sanctuary in Tenn. Because Carol Buckley refused to allow the use of a tool to handle elephants, a young lady was killed by an elephant known to have killed before. What will it take to make lawmakers understand these animal activists have no knowledge of the care and the safety issues of wild animals. Another death of a young person beliving the lies of these activists? Scott Blais and Carol Buckley have no business being around elephants, let alone being responsiable for the lives of others. They have no business playing doctor to these endangered elephants. Neither one of these people have any training in medical proceedures for these elephants. Remember "SUE" "LOTA" "JENNY" "BARBARA" and "JOANNA BURKE".  |

The person who wrote this has the responsibility to write these poignant statements to state legislators unknowingly makeing these wrong decisions. They should also make sure this picture is sent along as well with Ms. Buckley's excited statement!
I agree. The author of this statement is right and takes a strong stand. Now take these words to every legislator one by one and get the message out. Be careful about a strict accusation of responsibility of one person for another's death. Consult your lawyer, but be encouraged to make your points to everyone elected to make and pass these laws. We have to remember these people are townies, and wising up townies is damn near impossible. They know nothing of hour-to-hour work with exotic animals. They have never given thought to this work in their lives, and can be made to believe anything voices like Buckley's present. Since you feel this strongly, and I'm on your side, don't sign in as Anonymous. Get on the website, get every name in the legislature, and get your statement made to every one of them. I believe you will be taking a lot of us right along with you, but let us all sign our names to it.
Carol Buckley and Scott Blais collected 3 million dollars from the public to house the Hawthorn Circus Elephants. These elephants have never seen the outside of that barn, let alone the inside. Delhi would not enter the place so Carol Buckley and Scott Blais made a tent from tarps from Wal-mart for her to stay in. These elephants were not rescued, they were donated. Just how natural is a place that carrys meals on a tractor to feed these animals. How natural is placeing tubs of drinking water around that 2000 acre sanctuary. These animals stay where the food is. Not roaming that 2000 acres they write about. How stupid does one have to be not to see this is just a money making Jarasic Park that is not for the elephants but to feed to egos of two very slick animal activist.
Any bets as to how soon Pat Darby castrates NICK? He is a very valuable breeding elephant. An endangered animal. Heaven forbid Carol Buckley and Pat Darby should have any MALE with BALLS at those sanctuarys.
AMAZING. Over 200 AZA Zoos and Aquariuma have been careing for animals for over 200 years. Three ageing wantabee females accredit themselves as experts and form TOAS. Something stinks here and it is not the animals. Why are laws being passed to appease these three whatabees and destroying all the work of hundreds of people who know what they are doing? Common sense has just gone out the window here. Ten years verses 200 years?? THINK people, use your brain before it is too late.
Excellent advice, Roger. I feel such pity for somebody who will puff out their chest to make a statement, then be afraid to say it was they, who made the statement. Doesn't give them much validity. Buckleys web site lists many awards she has received. Read closely. These awards are for childrens books, raising money, spending money, web site design. NOT ONE for actual elephant care.
It is pretty slick the way she has printed the story of the MALE elephant killing a FEMALE elephant. This story would never have appeared on her web site if PAWS "Pat Darby" had not taken in "NICK" and "GYPSY" and all the money Barker donated for their barn. Or the donation of transportation for the elephants to travel to California. $80,000 wasn't it?
