Gary, Elephant Furrier??
This is fine, but I want a big 8 x 10 of PETA people trimming elephants' feet--anything to prove they're worth something around animals.
The leading furrier out here is Dicker & Dicker of Beverly Hills.
Dutchess, I have put a few blankets on a few elephants but never fur. It's Farrier, Latin for working with steel.
You "FARRIER" you. You expect ME to spell it right???? Roger spelled it wrong too.
Obviously at The Buckley compound the elephants are not being properly cared for and the necessary work on their feet is so important. The USDA, the SPCA and the Tenn. FISH and GAME should be held responsible and an inquiry and investigation should be called for by all USDA lisenced exhibitors demanding answers why these and other necessary care and handling are not being done. I would hope that some media would do an investigation and find what we animal people already are aware of.
I think buckley is fitting "FREIDA" for a pair of shoes. After a year she has developed sore feet. Playing doctor again. The government in Tenn will do nothing as they got so much egg on their face by allowing her to put these elephants on the property. They just want her to go away. Its a good thing these elephants are so old "how on earth did they manage to live so long in our care" They can drop like flies and they will say it is natural. Since the ZOOs have awakened about careing for the retirement their own, where will buckley get any more elephants to play doctor with? OH well, she has all that donated money, so what does she care. The money she raises from that book she wrote for second graders about two of our circus elephants should keep her in comfort. It also looks like peta is useing her place for a dumping ground for dogs. At least these are alive. For now.
According to news reports yesterday, the Philadelphia Zoo's only Female Asian elephant is heading for the Buckley "JOYRIDE" in April.

This elephant bit the tail off another elephant. I see buckley haveing little groups of elephants just like the zoos instead of the great herd she tells everyone she is going to have. One big happy family? I think not. I am just waiting for the "DIVAS" to take that place apart. Do it for the dutchess girls. Jarassic Park here we come. Remember "SUE" and "Joanna Burke"
No,no. Dicker & Dicker are not horseshoers, but furriers, as in minks and sables for the old-time Hollywood glamour queens. They did an appraisal on the excellent mink coat Mabel Stark brought back from the Orient.
My mother in law gave me two mink coats. One she called her Janpaneze[?] mink. I think she gave them to me for marrying her son. Should have held out for cash.
