William P. Hall Circus 1905

This pony Tab toured with Hall's only effort at taking out a circus on his own. The show failed and he decided to devote his talents to supplying horses, animals and circus equipment to braver souls.
I might add that I was born at Mr. Hall's facility inLancaster, Missouri, Feb. 26. 1935.

Buckles, I can not thank you enough for showing the photo of this wagon.
Now when Mr.Herriott questions my credentials in regards to my comments on photos of the packy-derms he can take a good look at the last name on this wagon.

P.S.

(Buckles you think he will buy it?)

Buckles, for some reason I thought you were born in Ottamwa Iowa? At least that is what I told all when we used to show there with the Bentley tour.

My Aunt Nellie married a business man in Ottumwa named William Hoogewaning.
On his death she received a considerable amount of his down town holdings including the Municipal Building.
I think that's the reason for the confusion.

The handles on the sides make this look more like a cross cage than a tab. They would have been fitted to the removeable side panels.

William P. Hall certainly made the Hall farm what it was, but he died in 1932. Thus, it was either Mrs. Hall's place, or perhaps the bank's when you made your appearance, if you want to split hairs.

About the time I was born my dad was busy showing the remaining 20 elephants to Zack Terrell and Jess Adkins who were framing the Cole Show.
The Hall Estate was headed by William "Billy" Hall Jr.
