They came off a muddy lot. Look at the mud on the wheels.
I do see some mud slinging here today. So many sad storys yesterday. The young dancers killed, Moose dieing, Leopard killed, Elephants poisoned. Life sucks sometimes. Today will be a brighter day.
Let me tell you about mud...
I promoted the "old" Beatty Show in 1997 in Watertown, NY. We were on an outparcel in front of the Mall. Well, it rained that week! That lot turned into a mush like I've never seen before! Bulls had to pull everything off the lot, then the trucks & equipment sat on the mall parking lot before leaving the lot. The next day I had to get the local fire department to come hose down the parking lot. After they did all they could do, we hit the road, following the show's arrows. I think they were on the way to Syracuse. We (my daughter, Cassidy was traveling with me that summer)left and started clocking the mileage...we followed show-mud for 16 miles on the interstate! I've seen a lot of mud lots, but I told Johnny Pugh that I'd seen a lot of mud lots in my day, but NEVER one like that!

Let's have a show of hands- I bet quite a few out there have been on muddy lots in Louisiana when they brought in truck loads of oyster shells to make the ground even mildly firm.
Frankly I hate the wind more than mud.
