Sells-Floto Circus 1930 #1

My dad was on this show and wrote on the back of the picture:
"#3 Green Ticket Wagon 1930."

To the uninformed, the man at right is steering (poling) the wagon off the flat cars while being towed by a team of horses (pull-over team) by the means of the rope hooked on to the front corner.
And if you don't believe me, ask Pete Sturgis.

As long as no one starts "THE TALLEST,THE SMALLEST,THE THINEST,THE FATEST,YES WE HAVE THEM ALL HERE, AT CIRCUS WORLD MUSEUMS CIRCUS SIDE SHOW!?!?!"
WE SHOULD BE o.k. FOR THE DAY.

One of the Side Show features on the Cole Show was "Duke Kamakua and his Hawaiian Troubadors".
While making a bally, Side Show mamager Arthur Hoffman would say:
"On the indide they will whirl the asagai, throw the boomerang, beat upon the tom-toms and play sweet, dreamy music upon the silver stringed, Hawaiian guitar!"
I used to wonder, "What in the Hell is a asagai?"
Until one day when watching a W.C. Fields movie I heard him remark "Ah Yesss! I was even threatened with a double bladed asagai!"
