Henry Thompson used an overhead projector to project the picture, letters, scroll, or whatever he was painting onto the truck, he would then trace everything with a pencil and then paint it in. I'm not knocking him in any way he was a great painter, just letting you in on one of his secrets! Notice the tiger picture on the Beatty show and on the King are exactly the same except in size.

This classic style of circus art work is sadly missing from most of todays shows.
