John F. Robinson

The following was typed beneath the picture.
"John F. Robinson looking at his elephants for the last time as he died one year after this picture was taken."

If this is accurate, Mr. Robinson would have been only a visitor in 1920 since the "John Robinson" title had been owned by Mugivan and Bowers since 1916. None of these elephants would have ever been with the "10 Big Shows".
Unbelievable crowd in the background and on the overpass. Maybe this picture was taken in Cincinnati."

Looks like the parting of the Red Sea! Elephants laying down on their right sides and the others on their lefts?

I believe it was taken in Cincinnati. I'm pretty sure that is the Ludlow Viaduct (bridge) in the background. It was built in 1914 but was torn down and rebuilt in 1991 as a generic looking highway.
