Sells- Floto 1926 Stampede #5

"Charlie Ed" now hobbled and back in Cranbrook.
At left is Cheerful Gardner who had been brought in from Hagenbeck- Wallace to oversee things and get the elephant shipped back to the Floto Show which was now miles away. At extreme right is one of theIndian guides.

(I might add that "Charlie Ed" was named after Charles Edward "Chad" Ballard, son of Ed Ballard one of the co-owners of the American Circus Corporation.) Posted by Picasa
