I assume he removes his glasses before he does this trick.
Interesting as to how he exposes the Lions Teeth by the way he holds the mouth open .

I recall a long time ago I was afraid you were going to accomplish this feat with a sea lion.I believe you had your glasses on at the time.
Its when you can't see the teeth that it becomes a problem.
Jewell told me the trick was to keep your thumb on their tougue.
I've always understood that the reason you seldom see teeth is you use your thumb to roll the top lip between the canine tooth and your skull.
I've tried it and its not that hard to give yourself this safety if you are doing this trick 2 or 3 times a day
you just need to be careful and not bump your head against the lip
and pinch the animals lip
but I've been slapped up side the head by a paw from an animal that wants to pull away
