This photo, with Mr. McPherson carefully cropped out, found its way into Mr. Beatty's first book, THE BIG CAGE (1933). The editors did not credit McPherson, and allowed the photo to be assumed as Beatty tigers. As one of his lifelong researchers, I have to doubt the Beatty I knew would have allowed this slight had he known of the publisher's error.
