From an undisclosed source (Photo by KLSDAD)

Thought you might be interested in something I have heard from 2 sources.
NOT CONFIRMED ONLY RUMORS
Scenario #1 The Davenports will lease the Cole Bros Circus for 2007 season outright.
Scenario #2 They will lease the show for a lesser amount and Pugh's staff will book and market taking a percentage of the gate as well.
Scenario #3 Davenports will lease the show and play a winter route in the Southwest not conflicting with Cole Bros eastern territory. Pugh will then take the show on it's eastern tour for 2007.

Anybody can get show equipment and keep on the road. How do they get the elephants with no USDA exhibitor licence?

Close inspection of the cemetary after reports of a mild earthquake in that area in Hugo ,Ok. revealed a slight crak in the base of the Big John Strong statue and the D,R,Miller monument had shifted a little off its base.

1--Davenports have bought the CB title.
2--They bought the elephants last winter and that's why the bulls have traveled back and forth between shows this season. In USDA parlance the sins of the father are not vested on the son
3--John Davenport will run the Cole show. Presumably LE Barnes Bailey Bros will stay in the midwest

I was informed today, that, Golpher has changed the name of the L.E. Barnes show, to, All Star Circus. The show is headed for Texas, hence the name change.

Gopher Davenport, changing titles to cross state lines !?
who'd a thunk it ?
let us not forget, what is Mr Pugh's role in turning his titles over to the Gopher ?

Charlie Sparks absolutely refused to sell-out to the Corporation because he was afraid of what Mugivan and Bowers would do with his Sunday School Show. Of course they got it anyway, and I don't think they abused the title before it passed on to John Ringling. No reason to believe that Gopher bought Cole Bros just because he wanted another title, there are cheaper ways to do that. Larry's right, this was ultimately Mr Pugh's decision.

If the Gopher gets the show, will it stray away from the eastern seaboard? I would love to see Cole in Minnesota next summer.
