Yes that would be great, but it would be far beyond Ms. Feld's vision of re-inventing the circus. Besides that, it would drown out the pre-show rock & roll music, and those old things sound "yucky".
However, was it Ringling or was it Big Apple (or both) that had a band organ on the floor for pre show a few years back?
We did indeed have a Band Organ with Big Apple. Don Covington pulled that off.
Today's Ken & Nicole Shows are programmed to apologize for having animals, both before and during the performance.
Well here I go bringing up Evansville again, I'm sure the pick up with the calliope in the back will be parked in the back door doing a pre show concert as it has in that building for about 50 years.
Speaking of Evansville, how does the show look this year?
It opens tomorrow so I don't have the whole scoop yet, I do know the opening, "little aerial number", will be 16 acts, loops, cloudswings,& I think rings. The Aerial Ballet, has 12 webs & 8 Single Traps, featuring Gabriella Guzman.
The Flying Act is The Flying Pages,(I'm not familiar with the act but understand they have two catchers)I also hear it is a very good act.
I just posted a bit of a preview of what the Dog Display will be. Another display will be Derrick Rosaire Jr., Jimmy Hall, and Pam & Roger in the center.
Of course three rings of elephants, & the closing act will be Tina & John Winn,(The Centrons)
Hopefully without starting another run on an already worn out subject, Wade Burck is working 14 White Tigers.
The High-Wire Act is the one from the Ken & Nicole Show,(they have the week off)
I'm still awaiting word from Trudy regarding the "51" weeks.
The Scola's? High wire?
Another feature on the show is Ian Garden working his Black Liberty Act.
