This photo is also taken in Europe, and was given to me by John Campalongo. This is a great photo, whoever took it! It reinforces what Larry Allen Dean told Roger about bouncing cats in Europe. This is from the Jim Clubb lion act, about 1992.
I used to work with John and helped out while he was putting together the mixed cat act he eventually had on Circus of the Stars a few times. It was a brilliant act but worked mostly in small parks, so didn't get much attention. The Clubb act in this photo is the one John worked in Europe for several years. The act that John worked when he won the Silver Clown in Monte Carlo. The only time I was at the Monte Carlo festival in 1994, John happened to be there. What a wonderful coincidence for us both, because I got to see one of my mentors win something at Monte Carlo and he had someone out there he knew rooting for him and taking photos. There's a photo at http://www.lionden.com/circus6.htm of me and John and his Silver Clown. John had a unique style of presentation, where he really chatted up the animals loudly enough to be heard in the back row and with a very upbeat, humorous patter of cajoling and chiding the cats.

What a neat arena design this is.
