One of the most beautiful sights on this earth. Brings tears to my eyes. If they would just stay that little.

Mr. Woodcock,

In your opinion, what were the most magnifenct looking male and female
elephants you have personally seen
in your career?

The Sire is THAI. Most of you know him from being in Eloise Berthtold's act. After Morgan Berry passed away, Thai went to the Houston Zoo. The Zoo refers to him as THAILAND.

The Dam is SHANTI. This is her second birth at the Houston Zoo. She was born at the Lincoln Park Zoo in 1990. She then wove her way through the Buffalo Zoo and Murray Hill's farm before going to the Houston Zoo in 2001.

I always thought that "Bertha" from the Nuggett Casino was the best proportioned elephant I had ever seen and "Tommy" from the Diano herd, the most spectacular.

Who has the really nice looking male on the TV commericals for the HDTV's. There is a little girl with a light that shoots straight up and some they are in water and others in a field of really tall grass? My wife tells me that she isn't really by the tusker that they use the blue screen effect? Nice looking male with really nice tusks? It is a TI (Texas Instruments) commerical for "Best Buy" here?

Is that the same Bertha that was a stage act with Slivers Madison in Sparks Nevada back in the 1980's?
I wonder if thats the same Bertha elephant that appeared on the Ed Sullivan show a lot back in the 1960's?

Yes it is. "Bertha" was originally trained by Jenda Smaha and appeared at the Baraboo Museum before going to Sparks.
