YES, MIKE SHE IS THE SAME ELEPHANT. WALT KING BOUGHT HER FROM BUSCH GARDEN, I TRAINED HER AND USED HER FOR THE YEAR AND FOR THE NEXT SEASON I WAS BOOKED WITH OUR ACTS ON BEATTY COLE AND WALT SOLD HER TO COMMERFORD. AT THAT TIME BEATTY HAD SOME TWELVE ELEPHANTS AND DID NOT NEED MINE. HOW TIMES CHANGE.
John - Is Walt King still alive? If so, do you know how I might be able to reach him? He bought "Queenie" from us in 1967 and I would like to get some information from Walt - about Queenie when he owned her. He eventually sold her to Circus Gatti, but I'm not sure when. In fact, that's one of the things I would like to find out.
Elizabeth; I recall you and Queenie the water skiing elephant. Yes Walt is still alive and maybe he may even visit this blog. I hope so as he was a part of all of us, along with his lovely wife Barbara, for so many years.
John - Thanks for your response. If you ever get in touch with Walt - or vice versa - please let him know I would love to talk with him. I don't know if you are aware - but I was reunited with Queenie last October - after 38 years of being apart. And she REMEMBERED ME! She is now at Wild Adventures in Valdosta, GA - is "retired" and leading the life of a very happy elephant! I saw her again this past April. With the exception of the injuries she (apparently) suffered while with Gatti and the fact that she is riddled with arthritis she is still my sweet Queenie.
John - I recognize your name -- did we ever work together? Did you see Queenie and I skiing - or just hear/read about us? I'd love to be able to get in touch with you directly - but haven't a clue how to reach you.

Is this the same Nellie that would eventually go to Commerfords?
