Jimmy has just eMailed me that this picture was taken on the 8th floor of Dayton's Department Store in Minneapolis, Minn. in 1968.
He added that it was quite an experience taking the elephants up in the elevator. On the first attempt, Frankie Braun pressed the wrong floor button (7th) and they found themselves in the Swirl and Curl Beauty Salon.

I rode an elevator with Bobby Gibbs and a punk up to the stage at the Albuquerque Civic Center. I know that little elephant watched Bobby push the button. When we arrived at the 3rd floor, I grabbed my props, and Bobby rolled out a tub. I turned around just in time to see the elephant reach out and press the button for the 1st floor, and the doors closed. To see the look on Gibbs' face as he bolted for the stairs is something I will not forget. A short while later, the elevator arrived back at the stage, elephant but no Bobby Gibbs! He had arrived on the first floor in time to watch his baby press the button for 3 again. I'm sure Bobby got a lot of milage out of that story over the years.

I'll buy the part where the little elephant presses the elevator button, maybe even that she memorized the floor numbers but I draw the line at the part where Bobby "bolted" for the stairs.

I'm surprised by the time Bobby polished that story he would had himself at the Sears Tower with King Tusk. Reality was good enough, thanks for sharing the tale.
