From New York to Hugo #2

Kelly-Miller quarters in 1955. Jack Moore owner of the Tex Carson Circus, Stanfield the Magician and Dr. Dan Sherwin of Medicine Show fame.

The focal point of showfolk gatherings in Hugo was the lobby of the Webb Hotel, sometimes to the chagrin of the proprietor who posted a sign "No elephant or horse training allowed on the premises". A typical conversation would go "What show are you going out with this year?" "I"m going back with Herb, the cook house is great." or "Little Bob has promised me the floss this year." or "I'm going with the big one!" with of course meant Al G. Kelly & Miller Bros. Wild Animal Circus.
