Dailey Bros. Circus 1947-48 #2

Ben Davenport sent Louie Reed to India twice to bring back baby elephants and he also brought three "Mahouts" as well. Here we see Pete, Singh and Bobby but Barbara has since told me that all three actually came from a Zoo. Only Pete had prior experience with elephants, Bobby took care of hoof stock and Singh was a tour guide. Singh is the only one that remained, having the advantage of speaking English.
